Grandpa knew all about "visiting", a past time that seems to belong entirely to the past. Every time we'd drive out to the Valley House, we could count at least a few afternoons of driving about town and visiting our elders. I remember visiting our couisn Myra Biedler where she would ply us with generous quantities of ice tea and home made peach pie. He taught me a great respect for elders, attending to the needs of others, leaving a place better than you found it, and keeping track of history (sprinkled with some good story telling). Grandpa, you will be missed.
