A young fawn seems particularly drawn to our backyard this year because I have yet to mow it. Therefore, the back plot is slowly turning into a meadow with its own kind of character and surprises. But it must be mowed before my open house August 6th., so enjoy it while you can, Bambi.
Now he comes back later without Mom. Most of my photos are shot thru glass. If I open the back door to step out on the covered porch, it usually startles them especially if there is an older one around.
Here is a young buck that comes around occasionally. The deck was in the way so I couldn't catch a clear shot of him. Is he the same one that was in y back drive last year that you can see photos of on this blog? I have no idea. I can't tell them apart from year to year.
Two days later only the fawn came around and worked his way from the back yard to the driveway right outside my office window.
The markings are fascinating.
